The 5 Best Places I Visited In 2016

2016 has been a bit of a whirlwind year for me and as it draws to a close, I’ve been reflecting on many things, but the one thing that brings me heaps of joy to think about is the amount of travel I’ve done this year. Moving to Europe and having so many countries so close to my fingertips leaves no excuse not to travel as much as possible!

Here are the 5 best places I visited in 2016

1. The Cliffs Of Moher – Ireland

I arrived at the cliffs very early on a cold winters morning to discover Ireland’s busiest tourist attraction completed deserted… it was amazing. Walking along the cliffs and taking in the views was one of the best moments of traveling in 2016. I felt so calm and peaceful, and enjoyed being (almost) alone in taking in the view.

2. Porto, Portugal

My two week stint in Portugal this summer was one of the best holidays I’ve been on! The Portuguese are so friendly, and the country itself is incredibly beautiful. Driving around and booking accommodation on-the-go was the best part. We visited Porto at the beginning of our trip, and then came back again towards the end again as we loved it there so much!

3. Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik is my European oasis. This year was the first time I had visited Dubrovnik in the autumn. I couldn’t believe how stunning the city was this time of year, as well as how amazing the weather was towards the end of October (still good enough for swimming!).

4. Stockholm, Sweden

Classic and minimalistic fashion choices are apart of my every day life, so it seemed natural that I would love Scandinavia! Stockholm is such a beautiful city… discover the city by bike riding… it’s the best way!

5. Cudillero, Spain

Cudillero was the first stop on my two week Spain and Portugal trip this summer and it was the most perfect little town! The beautiful bright houses and narrow streets are the die for, and the seafood lunch we had was amazing!
